The Light fruit is known as one of the best for defeating lots of monsters quickly (grinding) in the First Sea and early Second Sea. It's like controlling an element, so you're protected from some attacks (Elemental Blox Fruit). It also has attacks that hit a wide area (AoE moves), does good damage, doesn't require a lot of practice (relatively low mastery requirements), has good basic attacks (M1 attacks), and lets you move around super fast with its [F] Light Flight move. It's a top choice for the First Sea because it's easy to get and learn.
However, once you get to the Second and Third Seas, the powered-up (awakened) Buddha fruit is usually better because you need to be a high level to keep your elemental protection with Light.
The powered-up Light fruit is excellent for fights against other players (PvP). It has good attacks that stop enemies from moving (stuns), decent range, allows for good attack combinations (combo potential), and deals high damage.
